  4. St James  Parish in Okotoks is looking for help with their Music Ministry. If interested please contact Catherine Klug at cklug4@icloud.com or Nancy in the Front Office.
  5. Children's Liturgy at St. James is looking for volunteers. Please contact Laura VanderSpoel at: vanderspoell@gmail.com if you would like to earn service hours by helping with the Children's Liturgy at 9AM or 11AM Masses.
  6. From January until May 2026, St. James Parish will be running Confirmation Preparation Program for students in Grades 6, and are in need of 10-12 volunteers to support us as Small Group Leaders. As Small Group Leaders, students will accompany a group of 5-7 candidates as a mentor, guide and witness to our faith, helping them grow in their relationship with Christ and His church. Leaders will be required for 6 Tuesday evenings between January and March as well as 1 Saturday in April. They will lead discussions and activities for the same small group throughout the program. We are in search of students aged 17 years or older, confirmed Catholic, mature, prayerful and faithful.   8. The Salvation Army Foothills is looking for Kettle Volunteers. We will start launching our kettles on November 27th, Thursday and will run until December 24th. Our kettle volunteers will stand by the kettle located at participating stores across High River and Okotoks. The role includes greeting patrons, collecting donations, and handing out greeting cards and candy canes to donors. Kettle operation hours usually run from 10 AM to 8 PM (Monday—Saturday). Each kettle shift lasts 2 hours and is flexible. At the end of the campaign, we provide a certificate and volunteer credits — 2 credits for every 2 hours of volunteering.
