Congratulations to the Holy Trinity Academy Knights’ Boys Rugby Team who claimed the 5A Rugby Championship Banner in St. Albert over the weekend. The boys played exceptionally well and were great representatives for our school. 💚🏉🖤 Our Lady of Victory, pray for us. St. Patrick, pray for us.

The HTA Knights showed up at SSA Alberta High School Track & Field Provincials this weekend. The Open Women’s 4x400m team came in an emotional 3rd place. The Intermediate Women’s 4x100m relay team came in 3rd and was one of three teams that smashed the Alberta record. The Intermediate Men’s 4x100m relay team came into the final 100m with a dramatic ending clinched 2nd. Finally, Ethan Renaud won the Junior Men’s Javelin and is the Alberta champion. So many other personal bests and a huge team presence was felt this weekend from our Knights! 💚🖤 We are so incredibly proud of all our athletes!

The HTA Track and Field Team are off to the SSA High School Provincial Meet in Calgary this Friday and Saturday. Our 29 athletes are primed and ready to compete in our last major meet of a very successful season. Let's go! Go Knights! 💚🖤

On Friday evening, our Grade 12 graduating band students celebrated their annual Band Grad! 🎶🎓 The evening included dinner and a performance of Broadway Hits! by the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Congratulations to our graduating band students—we are so proud of all you have achieved and can't wait to see where your next chapter takes you! 🎺🎷🎵

Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating three truly incredible educators. Congratulations to Mrs. Coventry, recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award, Mrs. Hassett, recipient of the Going Above & Beyond Award, and Mrs. Tresch, recipient of the Power of One Award. Come cheer on the HTA Boys’ Knights rugby team as they compete for the South Central Zone Championship against Bow Valley/Cochrane. Game is at the Calgary Rugby Union on Friday, May 29th. Kick-off is at 4:00 PM. Go Knights! 🖤🏉💚

What a season for the HTA Senior Girls Rugby team! Undefeated at the Pirates Tournament. Champions of the Clearwater Cup. Undefeated through league play. Zone Champions. And after an incredible provincial run, bringing home the 4A/5A Provincial Silver Medal. 🥈Congratulations Knights! 💚🏉🖤

Our Band students had an incredible week last week at the provincial festival in Red Deer. Congratulations to our Grade 10 Symphonic Band on receiving a Superior rating after an intensive performance, sight reading and adjudication process! A huge bravo as well to our Grade 11/12 Wind Ensemble, who earned a Superior+ rating and were awarded the prestigious Adjudicator’s Choice Award. Out of 154 bands competing, only 4 groups received this honour. We are so proud of our student musicians for representing our school with such excellence, passion, and talent! 💚🖤

Congratulations to our Senior Girls and Senior Boys Basketball teams on receiving Sport Recognition Awards for their outstanding seasons! 💚🏀🖤 The Boys captured their first-ever Provincial 5A banner, while our Girls qualified for Provincials for the first time in 15 years! 🏀🥇🏆 We would also like to recognize Mr. Aiello for an incredible 29 years of coaching dedication. Thank you, Coach Aiello, for your commitment to our basketball program and the many student-athletes you’ve inspired over the years!

Next week is a big week for our Fine Arts Department! Join us for the Art Show and Short Plays on Monday, June 1, and the Pops Concert on Wednesday, June 3. Both evenings are sure to showcase the incredible talent, creativity, and hard work of our students. We hope to see you there! 🎨🎭🖌🎶🎵
